Hi Guys,
Sorry about no photos today, I had my Birthday!!!
The dancers gave me a shirt saying 'I'm the strong-armed paper boy' (a Family Guy joke...)...and after the show, Tommy Illfigga and a few of us headed out to a local club, and had a great night.
I promise, tomorrow, it will all be back to normal, and I shall have some photos, and a continuation of our 'introduce everyone on tour' section!
Until then,
Jamie.

Raw Metal - Adelaide, Day 6
Morning All!!!
Let's introduce the guys:
-------Dancers-------
REECE

One of the tallest Tappers, he has a penchant for fart noises and saying 'no...well..yes...but no...but yeah...'
MATTY

Lives in Ippy, loves saying 'ya bitch', 'spritz', 'A 5, 6, 7, 8!!!'
JACK

Seen here in his natural stance, he's loved by all, especially the teenage girls.
CHRIS

The shortest of the dancers, he loves a good fart, and does crazy good backflips.
JUSTIN

Based near me, in Birkdale, Justin's the crazy one, with a fashion sense to match.
------end Dancers--------
Tomorrow I'll do the musicians...
For now,
Jamie.

Raw Metal - Adelaide, Day 4
Hey Guys,
Not too much to post today, except that I didn't take any photos because I seem to be extroadrinarily lazy.
At the moment, my days consist of:
11am - wake up, shower, have some breakfast juice.
12pm - connect to the net...Blog...read emails...talk to everyone back home.
2pm - get bored, wander around the city aimlessly looking for lunch (I should take photos of this)
5pm - head to venue
5.30pm - soundcheck, wait around etc.
7pm - Doors.
7.30(ish)pm - Show Starts
8.30(ish)pm - Show finishes
9pm - 2am - Drink Beer, watch TV, play PSP...listen to music...etc. etc.
Tonights show went well...Except Tom, our beatboxer, seemed to be hitting his mic harder than usual...which drove his channel into the red...it was at this point i noticed the high-pass filter (the filter that cuts out the bottom end of a channel) was on...and I wondered why his kicks wernt sounding good through the subs...
note to self: if something sounds wrong, thats because it generally is...
The going to find some food in the city,
Jamie.

Raw Metal - Adelaide, Day 3
Another day in paradise.
Today the temperature topped 40 degrees in the shade...and we spent the day in a hot tent! Wonderful...
Here's the stage we're performing on, in the Umbrella Revolution...The vibe's really relaxed and carnival like, so that's nice:

However, not all of our time is performing...we're staying at the YHA, which is a backpackers hostel (I know, style...)...here's what a room shared between five dancers and one neat technician looks like:

And what drummers do in their spare time:

After our 'little' (read: horrendous) delay on the plane coming in here, I decided to get myself an Ipod (turtle not included)...

And the best part of my day:

The ride home...
Oh, and tonight was the first night I spent sober in Adelaide, as I was feeling a little cold n' Flu'ey...So of course everyone else decided to play drinking games...
...bastards...
The Going out to the Pub tonight...
Jamie.

Adelaide - Raw Metal, Day 2
Hey Guys,
Well, after waking up with a corker of a headache, we Headed in at 11am to unload the truck and put our equipment in storage. We then had a media call, doing a short piece for the local Channel 9 TV station. We then hung out in the park, waiting for our soundcheck at the Festival opening party. We discovered, to our glee, that the Heineken was free until 8.30 that night.....So one drink...

Turned into many:

Here's our guitarist and all-round good guy, Andrew Keppie (plays for Delta Goodrem), talking to the locals:

And All of us after the party:

After that shot, we headed off to the local pub (with cheap drinks prices and big-titted barmaids) to drink the night away.

Raw Metal - Adelaide, Day 1
Alrighty, the start of a new festival!
We flew out of Brisbane at 1pm, Brisbane time...hoping to arrive in Sydney at 3pm, connect with our flight at 3.30pm to Adelaide...
However, a local storm in Sydney meant that the ground staff couldnt unload any planes...and we were delayed for an hour...no big deal, as our connecting plane was the same plane we were on...

To my great joy:

...However...the storm also delayed our flight out of Sydney. Anyway, after six hours flying, when it should have been three, we arrived in Adelaide:

After then having issues with our hire vehicle...we eventually arrived at the youth hostel where we were staying at about 9pm.
After going out to find dinner, it was time to have a well deserved drink...and then head to bed.
The waiting for tomorrow,
Jamie.
