26/27 May, Sydney and Brisbane

Ahhhh, how lovely to be back in Sydney! (not)

I'm not sure what it is about sydney that really bums me out...but it does. It just gives me bad vibes each and every time that I go there. Ah well, at least we beat them in the football last week!

I dont really want to rant and rave about the gig On friday night...suffice to say that some engineers dont leave any headroom in a system, forcing me to rape an EQ to try and push my mics above an intoxicated and loud talking crowd....and for the most part...I failed...blamingmyself...but when I saw that his lectern mics wernt fairing much better, i knew the source of the problem!

Anyway, due to me being too busy to take gig pictures, here's a shot of the cityscape from sydney...taken from the really, really nice serviced apartments that we were in.



Note to self: Next time ou take your laptop somewhere...don't leave it...

Choirboys, 15-19 May 2007

The mighty Choirboys.

Nothing much to report here...just another regional tour...except the first town we visited was Dalby, which has some really picturesque scenery on the way out....

And we get to the venue, to set up, and lo and behold, there's a strobe....

Anyway, the gig rolls around...and about 5 people rock up for it:



Anyway, rest of the tour was bland, except for Bribie Island, where the beer was flowing, and the ladies amorous. Here's Will, the Choirboys FOH guy, showing his appreciation:

Raw Suga, Sunday, 13 May

Another Sunday, another flight down to Sydney!

This time, I was accompanying the nicest group of ladies you will ever meet, Raw Suga, on a corporate show for Ricoh, in Sydney Town Hall.

Anyway, i didnt think much of the hall...There's nothing fun about placing speakers in a hall designer for orchestras. That being said, it was a D&B J rig, so was quite cool.

Day off!

Alrighty...I have a week off...Incredible!

Well, not so much incredible as coincidental, because a tour was cancelled, so I spent the week doing things you usually do, like doing Laundry, paying the bills, and trialing a new peice of software to keep track of all my inventory equipment!

Anyway, today, as it was my day off, I was invited by some old friends to come out and play a game of Laser Skirmish...It was the local monthly tournament...and look what happens when I play....we won!
